Accomplished Ohio Judge Amy Corrigall Jones

An elected judge in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Amy Corrigall Jones started her second six-year term in 2018. During her previous six-year term, she collaborated with Judge Jerry K. Larson in the creation of the Summit County Valor Court, which provides resources and programming to improve outcomes among veterans involved in the criminal justice system. In recognition of her community service, Judge Amy Corrigall Jones was recognized by the Ohio State Bar Foundation and received the 30 for the Future award.

Earlier in her career, Judge Jones spent several years in private practice, representing clients involved in criminal defense cases and personal injury litigation. During this time, she also served as guardian ad litem for children in the court system and as a guardian for adults deemed incompetent. She holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Kent State University and a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law.

Active in her local community, she has coached basketball and mock trial teams at St. Vincent St. Mary High School and served as a board member with the Portage County Public Defender’s Commission.
